Software development
A background in frontend and backend development, from C# and ASP.NET with Umbraco and Sitecore to Java services. Focused on functionality, usability and the systems behind the application.
CLOUD ARCHITECT · DENMARK
I’m Robin, a cloud architect with a software engineering background and a curiosity that reaches from code to infrastructure, security, and the way things work.
Code. Systems. The occasional circuit board.

01 / ABOUT
From the application
to the infrastructure underneath.
I’m a Cloud Architect at Stibo Systems, with a background spanning web development, software engineering, DevOps and solutions architecture. I hold a Danish AP degree in Computer Science (datamatiker) from Skive IT-Akademi, where I studied from 2004 to 2007.
My early work centred on C#, ASP.NET and content platforms including Umbraco and Sitecore. At Nuuday, I worked on Java backend services and DevOps tooling before moving into solutions architecture, advising product teams on Azure migration and development workflows. Across these roles, I’ve kept an interest in intuitive software that works well for the people using it.
I work with Java, C#, Python and Bash, and have some experience with Go. My interests extend beyond software development to infrastructure, security, authentication and networking.
I work with Kubernetes both professionally, using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and in my homelab, where I use Rancher. I also have hands-on experience configuring Juniper and Cisco network equipment, although I don’t hold networking vendor certifications.
My homelab is where I explore new technologies, test ideas and build things out of curiosity. That curiosity also takes me into electronics and microcontroller projects.
Much of my professional work is confidential, so the projects I can share publicly mainly reflect what I build and learn in my own time.
02 / EXPERTISE
Software is the starting point.
Curiosity connects the rest.
A background in frontend and backend development, from C# and ASP.NET with Umbraco and Sitecore to Java services. Focused on functionality, usability and the systems behind the application.
Experience advising teams on Azure migration and DevOps workflows, alongside Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and build automation. Working with AKS professionally and Rancher at home.
Interested in authentication, access control and the networks underneath. Hands-on experience configuring Juniper and Cisco equipment.

Connect on LinkedIn04 / EXPLORING
A few things I build, run
and learn from in my homelab.
My homelab is a hands-on environment for exploring infrastructure, automation and self-hosted services. Built on Proxmox, it runs Fedora hosts with Podman containers, managed through Git, Ansible and AWX. It brings together centralised identity, secrets management, monitoring and backups, alongside projects in local AI and home automation. It’s where I test ideas and learn what it takes to make systems reliable, maintainable and recoverable.
GITOPS & AUTOMATION
Building a homelab that I can reproduce and maintain from Git. I work with Ansible and AWX for provisioning and deployment, Proxmox for virtual machines, and Podman Quadlets for services.
IDENTITY & SECRETS
Connecting applications through Authentik and native OpenID Connect, and managing credentials with OpenBao. I’m interested in the practical details: who gets access, how applications authenticate, and how recovery works.
OBSERVABILITY & RECOVERY
Putting metrics, logs and alerts together with Prometheus, Grafana and Loki. Alongside that, I work on application-aware backups and restore testing — knowing a backup exists is only part of the job.
LOCAL AI & INFERENCE
Experimenting with local language models, GPU inference, and speech tools. My setup brings together llama.cpp, LiteLLM and Open WebUI, with an interest in how model choice and hardware affect everyday use.
HOME AUTOMATION & ELECTRONICS
Combining Home Assistant, MQTT and ESPHome with electronics and microcontroller projects. It’s a hands-on way to explore device communication and make software do something useful beyond the screen.
SELF-HOSTED MAIL
Working through the details of a mail stack: SMTP and IMAP, authentication, TLS, spam filtering, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC. It’s a useful meeting point for networking, security and day-to-day operations.
Most of my professional projects are confidential. This site focuses on my experience, interests and personal learning.
05 / AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD
Streaming or vinyl — music is a constant, and there is something special about putting a record on.
Keeping the garden clean and tidy is a satisfying change of pace from a day at the keyboard.
Whenever I can get out on the water, you will find me sailing my Granada 24.
06 / SAY HELLO
Have a question, an interesting idea, or a shared interest?
I’d be happy to hear from you.
